Sharp QT-F40

The Sharp QT-F40 & QT-V40 are fun small portable analogue AM/FM and cassette radios featuring a unique lid design allowing for music on the move. These were produced from the late 80s to early 90s.

Colours

The QT-F40 came in four colours

Black & White (BL)

Grey & Green (GR)

Grey & Red (R)

Grey & Yellow (Y)

The colour codes denote the colours of the facia underneath the lid except in the case of the black model with a black exterior and white interior.

I believe the QT-F40s are often mistaken for the QT-V40s as they are nearly identical (even have the same internal electronics) except that the V40s are available in different exterior colours, where they F40s are only available in grey exterior. The purpose being that the V40s are the upmarket model.
